Building communities with Hitachi Construction Machinery, generation after generation.

Brandon Harp, owner of B2 Contracting Inc., grew up around all types of equipment and knows a thing or two about what makes machines good. His father also had a construction business and helped build staples of Georgia like the Hartsfield International Airport and the Georgia World Congress Center. With B2 Contracting, Brandon is carrying on the legacy of community building that his father started. He is also training his six-year-old son to be next in line.

Now one of their latest projects, a 17-acre, 25,000 yd3 earth moving and 9,000 linear ft pipelaying job in Newnan, Georgia, is working exclusively with Hitachi excavators. The $3.5 million car dealership project is part of the rapid development of the communities around Georgia that is driven by local contractors. “We have had zero problems,” he said about all his Hitachi excavators, “I have not had to make the first service call.” From digging out ponds to placing large concrete pipes, Brandon knew he would not let his community down equipped with a ZX490, a ZX300, and a ZX245.

Adam Mikkell | COWIN Equipment:

"One day he'll run his own company, and it means a lot for his first machine to be a Hitachi excavator."

Brandon understands that his most important role as a contractor is getting the job done efficiently and on time. When he first tested a Hitachi excavator he was impressed by their fluid motion and power. With the smooth operation of these machines, he knew their unique engineering could work through tough jobs with limited delays. Since then, he hasn’t wanted any other kind.
