First Hitachi Premium Used excavator success in Hungary

The first Hitachi Premium Used excavator has been delivered to a customer in Hungary by Valkon Kft. The ZX160LC-7, an ex-demonstration unit sourced from HCME, was handed over to Bonag Ltd, headquartered in Békéscsaba, in November 2024. Since then, it has been working on the expansion of a large farm, and used for additional activities such as building trenches for utilities.

Hitachi premium used is the perfect fit

Based in the southeast of Hungary, Bonag Ltd specialises in general construction, including agricultural facilities, and the construction of bridges and structures. It decided to purchase its first Hitachi Premium Used model because the ZX160LC-7 was the perfect size for its projects and had less than 200 working hours. The warranty provided by Hitachi was also an important consideration when choosing the machine.

This is the first Hitachi model in Bonag’s fleet and has made a strong impression. According to Managing Director Roland Baczovszki: “The machine’s performance is outstanding for its size, and its technical equipment is also impressive. Its stability is clearly demonstrated in our current work.”

The highest level of service

The company hopes to expand its fleet with additional Hitachi machines in the future and recommends the Hitachi Premium Used programme. Manager Franciska Backzovszki says: “I absolutely recommend Hitachi Premium Used to anyone who can’t think about purchasing new equipment. The machines are in good condition, with a traceable service history and, importantly, with a factory warranty.

“We discussed in detail with Valkon about what kind of work we are doing, how large a machine we are looking for, and what kind of specification we need. Maintaining a good relationship with our dealer and their understanding of our needs is important to us, and we receive the highest level of service from Valkon.”

An important milestone

The first Hitachi Premium Used machine in Hungary is an important milestone for both customer and dealer. When Valkon acquired the machine from HCME, it went above and beyond to transform it into a Hitachi Premium Used product. This was done by ensuring the required checks and maintenance were completed to enrol the machine into the Premium Used programme.

Achieving Premium Used status is no small feat. Machines enrolled in this programme undergo thorough inspections to ensure they meet Hitachi’s stringent standards for reliability and performance. Valkon stuck closely to these requirements, using genuine Hitachi parts and upgrading the machine locally to include essential options requested by the customer.
