HCME is investing in smart digital solutions that can help contractors increase their flexibility, work more efficiently and remain profitable. Alongside new innovations – such as the all-in-one fleet management tool LANDCROS Connect – the company continues to develop its existing digital offerings, going beyond the provision of high-quality machinery, to provide customers with a competitive edge.
Central to HCME’s digital offering is the ConSite family of applications and services. It delivers a comprehensive approach to machine health management and has been at the forefront of innovation by providing industry-leading functions such as the oil condition monitoring sensor.
Improving ConSite
Advances in technology have enabled HCME to enhance the ConSite platform so it can provide even more information about machine status. “Coupled with artificial intelligence, and over 20 year of machine data, we are developing a predictive system to further reduce total cost of ownership and enhance the reliability of Hitachi machines,” says Arthur da Rocha Geremia, HCME Product Manager.
For example, the ConSite Helmet has been developed with advanced technology, as Arthur explains: “It’s an extended reality headset that supports the customer in identifying and solving problems, and visualises a machine part by part.”
The helmet was showcased at Bauma 2025, as was ConSite Scan, which can measure the wear and tear of certain components. Customers will be able to use the information to ensure their machines are working to optimum levels.
Advanced telematics
Hitachi’s telematics API has also been upgraded with the introduction of 10-minute and 60-minute data frequency options. This provides customers with near real-time insights and a more accurate overview of fleet operations.
The latest Hitachi mini excavators – from the ZX33U to ZX65USB-6 models – come with the telematics API solution. Remote data frequency adjustments are possible through Global e-Service, which enhances efficiency and streamlines machine management.
In addition, Hitachi customers can now request 2D and 3D CAD drawings of their equipment. These can be used in conjunction with building information modelling (BIM), which integrates data from various sources to create a digital representation of an asset throughout its life cycle.
