Hitachi presents a solution for every challenge at the Dutch TKD
A total of 18 Hitachi machines will be at the TKD fair in Almere, The Netherlands on 12-14 June. The diverse mix includes mini, medium crawler and wheeled excavators, two emission-free models making their Dutch debut, and a 15-tonne ZW-7 wheel loader. A search for the operator of year will also be held with a competition on stand 147 during the event.
To experience the growing battery-powered Hitachi line-up, visitors will see five specially selected electric models at TKD. The ZX55U-6EB, ZX85-6EB and ZX135-7EB are accompanied by the new ZE225 crawler excavator, and the 15.5-tonne ZE150W wheeled excavator, which both made their international debut at Bauma in April.
Reducing emissions
“Our zero-emission solutions are in line with Hitachi’s vision to contribute to a sustainable and safe society,” says Evert van den Broek, Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist at Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) Nederland.
“We recognise the challenges in the sector to meet the requirements for an emission-free construction site and embrace this as an opportunity to work together on innovative solutions for our customers.”
While the transition to more sustainable methods of working is underway, Hitachi also continues to provide options to reduce emissions. The diesel engines of its Zaxis-7 excavators meet the strictest Stage V emission standards and can optionally run on HVO100 biofuel. At TKD, the ZX300LC-7 SLF – with an 18-metre-long arm ideal for challenging dredging or loading work – will be on display, while a ZX160LC-7 and a ZX250LC-7 can be tested by operators.
Mini and compact attractions
On the smaller end of the scale, Hitachi will present popular mini excavators such as the ZX19-6 on the stand, and the ZX19U-6 and ZX33U-6 in the demo area. The 10U SL and 63US 2PB – specially developed by KTEG for powerful performance and extreme precision – will also make their first appearance at TKD this year.
The six-tonne 63US 2PB has an adjustable boom and extra counterweight for unparalleled lifting performance. In addition, the new cab guarantees even better all-round visibility. Also new is the versatile ZX95US-7 as the successor to the popular ZX85US-6.
In the demo area, visitors can get behind the wheel and joysticks of the ZX135W-7 and ZX150W-7 wheeled excavators, and experience the 15-tonne ZW180-7 wheel loader for themselves. HCM Nederland will also conduct a search for the most skilled operator during the event. Competition entrants will be tested as they perform various tasks with a ZX160LC-7 while the clock is ticking.
“The competition is open to everyone, and there are prizes for the first, second and third places,” says Evert. “If you want to put your skills to the test and think you have what it takes to become Operator of the Year, we look forward to welcoming you at TKD!”
