Hitachi wheel loader is a valuable asset for Italian construction company
A second Hitachi ZW250-7 wheel loader is strengthening production capabilities at the Soncino facility of Italian company CarBa srl. The machine was delivered by authorised dealership SCAI at the end of 2024, and will play a crucial role in handling aggregates for both concrete and asphalt production.
Specialising in roadworks
Founded 20 years ago in Soncino (CR), CarBa is a construction company specialising in roadworks. Under the leadership of CEO Mauro Carminati, the company has consistently invested in advanced technologies and supply chain optimisation to enhance efficiency.
In 2024, it took a significant step forward by adding asphalt production to its operations, complementing its existing concrete and steel production lines.
Reliable construction machinery
Due to its expansion, the company opted for a new ZW250-7 for its efficiency, versatility and reliability. "This machine will remain exclusively at the Soncino site, managing aggregates for our batching and asphalt plants," explains Carminati. "It’s a vital all-rounder that allows us to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently."
Enhanced job site safety
Operator feedback played a key role in CarBa’s decision to acquire another ZW250-7. The machine’s user-friendly design, including its multifunction joystick and excellent all-round visibility, enhances safety and comfort.
One standout feature is the Aerial Angle camera system, offering a 270-degree bird’s-eye view for improved visibility. CarBa also opted for the rear obstacle detection system to increase safety within the busy production yard.
"With two plants now in operation, internal traffic has increased,” says Carminati. “The obstacle detection system was a necessary addition to enhance site safety."
Optimised for performance
Compared to the first ZW250-7 in CarBa’s fleet, the latest model includes additional enhancements, such as a larger 3.60m³ bucket for increased material handling capacity. The integrated payload weighing system further improves efficiency by providing precise load measurements, reducing unnecessary trips and optimising workflow.
"We knew exactly what we were getting with this machine," Carminati concludes. "The ZW250-7 has already proven its reliability, and these new features make it an even more valuable asset for our operations."
By continuously investing in cutting-edge equipment, CarBa ensures its production processes remain efficient and ready for future challenges.
