Hitachi Zaxis-7 strengthens contractors’ partnership with Danish dealer

When one of the Nordic region’s largest contractors, NCC, invests in new construction machinery in Denmark, it often turns to its Hitachi dealer. The company has developed a strong and reliable partnership with H.P. Entreprenørmaskiner A/S (HPE). The decade long partnership is built on trust, technical knowledge, and a shared commitment to quality.

NCC’s specialist division, NCC Materiel, ensures that equipment is always in optimum condition and available when projects begin. With 43 employees across two Danish locations, the department effectively operates as an internal rental business, supplying machines to sites nationwide.

According to Equipment Manager, Marie Lundberg Vestergaard, the cooperation with HPE plays a vital role in ensuring machine selection is always aligned with project requirements.

“When we need new machines, it is important that we get the right equipment,” she says. “HPE is one of the suppliers that really steps up, because they know our approach, and we know theirs.

“That way, no mistakes are made, the machine is adapted and selected for the specific tasks, and expectations are aligned very quickly,” she adds.

The partnership accelerated in 2018, when NCC added several Hitachi machines to its fleet. Since then, Hitachi excavators have become an integral part of the company’s operations.

For NCC, Hitachi machines are valued not only for their comfort and efficiency, but also for their operational reliability. Minimising downtime is critical for large-scale infrastructure projects, and here the partnership with H.P. Entreprenørmaskiner is a key advantage.

“There are many reasons why NCC is happy with Hitachi,” says Henrik W. Sørensen, District Manager at H.P. Entreprenørmaskiner.

“What we hear is that the machines have good comfort, and they are very strong on the hydraulics. Something very important is the service we provide to the contractor. The operational reliability is very high,” he adds.

All machines above 15 tonnes supplied to NCC are fitted with automatic start/stop technology, underlining the company’s commitment to reducing fuel consumption and unnecessary idling.
