Why a Hitachi ZX300-7 excavator became a landmark machine for French dealer Teramat
When a ZX300-7 medium excavator joined the fleet of TPLP in June, it marked a significant milestone – not only for the family-owned business in south-east France, but also for its local dealer and Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME). The new model was the 3,000th Hitachi machine to be supplied by Teramat since the beginning of its partnership with HCME more than 20 years ago.
This extra-special delivery reflects the strength of the relationships between manufacturer, dealer and customer. The value of these partnerships was highlighted by Francesco Quaranta, CEO and President of HCME: “Reaching 3,000 machines sold through our partnership with Teramat goes far beyond a simple number – it represents our shared commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
“Teramat has proven to be an exceptional partner, understanding both our machines and their customers' needs with remarkable expertise. Seeing our Hitachi ZX300-7 join TPLP's fleet, a company that has trusted this partnership for over 20 years, perfectly embodies the reliability and performance that define our collaboration.
“This milestone reinforces our confidence in the French market and our determination to continue supporting the construction professionals who build the future of their communities.”
TPLP and Teramat – a long-standing partnership
With 25 years of experience, TPLP specialises in earthmoving, rockfill, utilities, roadworks, snow removal, transport, mountain operations and equipment rental, and is based in the Haute-Maurienne valley. As a trusted partner of Teramat for more than two decades, the company embodies the values of loyalty and proximity that define the dealer’s relationship with its customers.
“TPLP is a well-known and respected company in the region for the quality of its work,” says Pierre Mailland-Rosset, Managing Director of Teramat. “We’re truly grateful for their loyalty, trust, and friendship, and proud of everything we’ve built together over the years.”
“Pierre’s perseverance, patience and professionalism have definitely paid off,” smiles Louis Pasquier, Director of TPLP. “Since we started working together, we must have bought around a hundred Hitachi excavators. I don’t buy my machines from a dealership – I buy them from Pierre!”
A key player in the public works equipment sector across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions, Teramat employs 54 people across five branches. In 2024, the company generated €35.15 million in revenue and is pursuing ambitious development plans for the years ahead.
