Zaxis-7 excavators put to the test in Norway
A pair of Norwegian customers (Bjørnar Vaslien AS and Håkon Ulvesveen AS) have recently invested in two new Zaxis-7 excavators. Both models are currently working on a contract for the Gjøvik municipality in Norway, replacing water and waste pipes.
Versatile machinery
These latest fleet additions are performing well for both contractors. Bjørnar Vaslien (of Bjørnar Vaslien AS) is very satisfied with the ZX225USLC-7 acquired for his latest project. He says that the machine is ideal for working in compact areas: “I am very happy with this one. The excavator has a short tail swing, it’s good in tight spaces. The machine is a decent size for this type of work.”
Similarly, Håkon (Håkon Ulvesveen AS) agrees that his new purchase – a ZX175W-7 wheeled excavator – is serving him well on smaller job sites, thanks to its versatility. “It has a short swing radius and needs less space at the rear, so you don’t have to think about whether the back is bumping into people or things. So far it has worked very well!”
Hitachi Construction Machinery – the reliable brand
An experienced operator, Bjørnar has years of experience with multiple construction brands but often opts for Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM). Previously, he worked with a ZX85, which he found very reliable. So, it’s no surprise he has chosen HCM again for his new Zaxis-7 excavator: “The comfort is very good. I am also very satisfied with the capacity and diesel consumption, which is around 8 litres per hour.”
Håkon also appears to trust the durability and quality of his new machine: “I’ve only had it for three weeks, but so far, I’m happy – it works well! It is stable and good.” Unlike Bjørnar though, this operator is new to the brand, confirming that this is his first time using a HCM machine. But he is happy with both his purchase and dealer Nasta, saying: “I am very satisfied with the whole arrangement.”
