Authorised Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) dealer for the UK, HCMUK, is delighted to have raised £25,000 for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, as a result of the auction of an iconic UH063 excavator at Hillhead this week.
A worthy cause for construction workers
The UH063 machine was sold to the highest bidder, Paul Poulter, Director at Surrey Excavations, with all proceeds going to The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, a charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
The cheque was presented to a representative from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity on Wednesday 22nd June at Hillhead Show by HCME President, Ikeda San.

Speaking about the auction, Dave Roberts, CEO at HCMUK said: “HCMUK is delighted to present this cheque to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to support the excellent and important work they undertake to support those employed in the construction industry.
