40 years and counting with Hitachi construction machinery
Norwegian contractor Hole Maskiner has enjoyed a long and successful 40-year partnership with Hitachi construction machinery and Norwegian dealer Nasta. They have worked together since 1983, when the company bought its first Hitachi machine, a UH081 medium excavator.
A strong relationship
Hole Maskiner’s current fleet includes a wide range of Hitachi Zaxis machines, including: a ZX135W-7 and ZX145W-6 wheeled excavators; and a ZX85US-5, ZX135US-5, ZX135US-7, ZX160LC-6, ZX210-6, two ZX225USLC-6s and ZX350-5 medium crawler models.
“Our partnership with Nasta has been excellent,” says Norman Hole, the owner of Hole Maskiner. “If we have a problem on a project and need an extra machine, Nasta will either rent or loan a used machine to us. This is a typical example of the strength of our relationship.
“Nasta sees things from our point of view and you know that it is always there, and that’s so important. The level of service and maintenance is also excellent from its dedicated service team, as well as the quality of the repair jobs.”
Hole Maskiner A/S was founded in 1947 by Norman’s father, Olav, after he bought his first truck. In 1953, Olav joined forces with his brother, Paul, to work in agriculture and road construction. During the 1960s they recruited and by 1972 had 70 employees after expanding into transportation and long-distance hauling, as well as general and road construction. Norman took over the assets of the company with two of his cousins in 1983.
