Hitachi mini excavator is pretty in pink for an important cause
French dealer Teramat has delivered a pink ZX26 in honour of Pink October (Octobre Rose) – breast cancer awareness month.
The unique mini excavator has been supplied to rental company Alpes Méca-Loc in the Savoie region, alongside a donation of €6,000 to La Ligue Contre le Cancer.
The official handover
The official handover took place at Teramat St Girod, with a cheque presented to Pr François Berger and Dr Paul Truong – Presidents of the Isère and Savoie Committees of La Ligue Contre le Cancer.
Pierre Mailland Rosset, General Manager of Teramat, also attended, alongside Wiebe Waanders, Account Manager Rental from Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe), and Patricia Mailland Rosset, Managing Director of Alpes Méca-Loc. The pink mini excavator was commissioned on the same day, ready to start work on a site near Aix-les-Bains in Savoie.
Breast cancer awareness month aims to create conversation around the disease and raise funds for research. It is the most common cancer in women but can be cured in 90% of cases with early detection, which is why awareness is vital.
La Ligue Contre le Cancer is a breast cancer organisation based in France that supports sick people and their loved ones, advances cancer research, and promotes prevention and screening for the disease.
