The NEW Environment Exposition 2011 Tokyo (N-EXPO) / Global Warming Prevention was held for four days from May 24th to May 28th. This year, Hitachi Construction Machinery displayed the New Generation Hybrid Excavator ZH200 on sale in July 2011 (only in Japan) as well as introduced examples of our electric hydraulic excavators, information-oriented construction initiatives, carbon offset activities and other wide range of initiatives to prevent global warming.
We also displayed our Twin Arm Machinery Machine ASTACO Neo where it is expected to draw attention at demolition and disaster recovery sites. Furthermore, on the special stage, we introduced “The Practical Choice: Hitachi Construction Machinery” on the orange stage and “Hitachi Construction Machinery: Fostering Rich and Fertile Land” on the Green Stage, in which both attracted attention and great interest.
Incidentally, on the Green Stage, we asked this question: “What is the annual target amount (in tons) to reduce CO2 emission by 2025 set by the Hitachi Group?” Answers: (1) 10 million tons (2) 50 million tons (3)100 million tons.(The correct answer can be found in the photograph below)
