Hitachi Construction Machinery

Third-party Review of Environmental Impacts

Environmental impact data is non-financial data that is disclosed both inside and outside the company, mainly via reports and the company website. As such, the reliability of this data is vital. To ensure this, Hitachi Construction Machinery consigns SGS Japan to perform a third-party verification of energy and CO2 emissions at its five plants (Tsuchiura Works, Kasumigaura Works, Hitachinaka Works, Hitachinaka-Rinko Works, and Ryugasaki Works)

On May 30 and 31, a review of documentation and plant sites is conducted and an evaluation to ensure that the plants were satisfying limited assurance. (We thank all the related departments for their cooperation.)

Moving forward, we plan to further expand the number of offices that are subject to a third-party verification to boost the trustworthiness of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group overall. We plan to post more detailed information on our website in the future.
