Safety and Environmental Protection Classroom for Employees Living in Company Housing and Their Families (Hitachi Construction Machinery (China))

On November 28, 2015, Hitachi Construction Machinery (China) hosted a safety and environmental protection classroom for employees living in company housing and their families. A total of 200 people (employees and family members) participated.

The objective of this event was to raise and further promote safety and environmental awareness. An array of activities was held. There were fire drills to prepare for fire emergencies and an advertising billboard was installed that advocated safety. In addition, letters from families wishing for safety were written to rethink safety from a family’s viewpoint and a peace tree adorned with wishes for safety was planted. There was also a quiz on environmental protection and energy conservation. The quiz helped participants to learn about various topics, including how to properly separate garbage and recycle, and methods for saving energy.

The event not only helped employees to improve their safety and environmental awareness on the job but also in their daily lives.
