ESG

To celebrate “World Environment Day” on June 5th, Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Kharagpur plant conducted tree plantation in a restrained manner due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“World Environment Day” is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

Kharagpur plant nurtures a rich biodiverse zone to enrich it further by conducting a tree plantation programme inside the plant, and around 1,000 saplings are added every year inside the plant.
This year, a land parcel inside the scrap yard has been reimagined, recreated and restored as a tribute to this year’s theme of Ecosystem Restoration. The plantation programme was led by senior management team and employees worked together to plant saplings.
Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery aims to contribute to Ecosystem Restoration through these activities.
