Hitachi Construction Machinery launches management tool for different manufacturers’ equipment with LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System
Tokyo, April 7, 2025 – Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6305; "Hitachi Construction Machinery") has announced the April 7 launch of LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System. This provides data from different manufacturers’ operational construction machinery as an invaluable insight for companies with large fleets of equipment. The service will initially be available in the European and North American markets, before it is rolled out gradually for global use. Furthermore, LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System will be exhibited for the first time at bauma 2025 – the world’s leading trade fair for construction and mining machinery – on 7-13 April in Munich, Germany.
The introduction of LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System marks the first use of the new LANDCROS concept (announced by Hitachi Construction Machinery in July 2024) for the naming of products and services. By managing the operational data of different manufacturers’ machinery, LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System will contribute to the overall efficiency of contractors’ fleets and increase the productivity of their construction sites. The biggest change from the previous system, "Solution Linkage CONNECT," is whether it allows management of customer-owned assets, including other manufacturers. Users of the previous system can continue to use the LANDCROS Connect System seamlessly as an upgraded version.
The latest fleet management tool from Hitachi Construction Machinery is designed for medium-sized to large-scale construction, civil engineering and rental companies, which own hundreds of machines and simultaneously operate multiple construction sites. To manage and operate such significant fleets, they have traditionally used systems from each of their construction machinery manufacturers, which can be time consuming and result in a decreasing level of operational efficiency.
Available in 38 languages, the LANDCROS Connect system uses ISO-compliant machinery location information and operational data to provide contractors with everything they need to manage their entire fleet. From executives to site managers, personnel can easily access and browse the relevant details they need from their smartphones, tablets and PCs in a user-friendly manner. Furthermore, aiming to enhance convenience and increase the number of users, Hitachi Construction Machinery released a mobile application compatible with both iOS and Android platforms, which can be easily used both in offices and jobsite.
Looking to the future, the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group will continue to face customer challenges head-on, and offer products and services under the LANDCROS name. This approach reflects its desire to "deliver innovative solutions for every stakeholders."
Main features of the LANDCROS Connect Fleet Management System
Displays the operational status of machinery from different manufacturers in user-friendly graphs and tables
Contractors can browse detailed information about each machine from a screen that enables them to simultaneously check a list of hundreds of their machines. This display includes the idling and operating times, as well as alarm status in a clear and easy-to-understand illustrative format. In addition, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions can also be checked at a glance, which enables them to conveniently assess their environmental impact.
Quickly browse data allocating all machinery, construction projects and sites
Contractors can allocate all machinery, construction projects and sites so that they can be viewed in convenient lists. Furthermore, they can specify a particular area on a map to analyse the operational data of key machinery within that area. This enables them to easily compare the availability of machinery by site, allocate equipment in an optimal manner, and keep the project on schedule. In addition, reports can be created and downloaded from the system to provide the latest information to interested parties.
Integrates seamlessly with existing systems (only for Hitachi Construction Machinery models)
The LANDCROS Connect system seamlessly integrates with the ConSite service solution, service parts catalogue, Owner’s Site and other solutions available from Hitachi Construction Machinery. For example, if ConSite issues an alarm as a notification of an anomaly, the LANDCROS Connect system receives the information and displays it on the dashboard. It can be quickly verified on how to respond to the alarm using the service parts catalogue.
Available for immediate use to Hitachi Construction Machinery owners
The LANDCROS Connect system is available for immediate use to Hitachi Construction Machinery owners with a Global e-Service remote fleet monitoring system account.
