Sustainability Management Structure

The HCM Group has established “CSR Goal” and “CSR Activity Guidelines”, in addition to “CSR Agendas” which are based on the ISO 26000 global standard for corporate social responsibility; as of FY2015 we have begun work on those initiatives, and we continue to promote CSR activities by incorporating the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle into daily works.

In April 2019, former Environment Policy Division and the former CSR Promotion Department were integrated to form the “Sustainability Promotion Division”, an organization under the direct control of the company president. Our system is centered around the newly established Sustainability Promotion Division, which comprehensively manages and promotes environment, social and governance matters for the entire Group as well as discloses information as appropriate. The Sustainability Promotion Committee, which meets biannually, is comprised of members including the president and executive officers. It carries out deliberations and approvals on ESG matters related to management decisions, including our response to climate change.

On the basis of our basic corporate credo and corporate vision, we will strive to realize sustainable society by properly understanding global social expectations into our expectations and integrating those expectations into our management, (1) contributing to resolving social issues, (2) governance, (3) and communication.
