“FY2025 Hitachi Construction Machinery Group Positive Social Impact Campaign” to contribute to sustainable environment
In alignment with World Environment Day on June 5, Hitachi Construction Machinery Group carried out the “FY2025 Hitachi Construction Group Positive Social Impact Campaign” to promote actions that bring positive impact to the global environment.
This marks the third consecutive year of the initiative, which is based on the Group’s Social Contribution Policy and focuses on two key environmental areas: “Addressing Climate Change” and “Contributing to a Circular Economy.”
Over the one-month period starting June 1, a total of 6,588 employees from 16 group companies worldwide participated in various activities such as energy conservation, greening, and waste reduction.
Main Activities Conducted:
- Energy Conservation: 10 initiatives
- Waste Reduction, Reuse & Recycling: 26 initiatives
- Forest Conservation & Greening: 10 initiatives
- Cleanup Activities: 4 initiatives
- Other (e.g., awareness and education): 34 initiatives
The theme of World Environment Day 2025 was “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
Plastic pollution has become a global issue, infiltrating our drinking water, food, and even our bodies. In response to this theme, one notable initiative involved a beach cleanup, where over 90 kilograms of plastic waste were collected, contributing to the improvement of the local environment.
Through this campaign, the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group united to take meaningful action toward environmental sustainability.
